Hi Denise,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is amazing. My family enjoyed it last July when we stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort!
On our visit, the show lasted about an hour and forty-five minutes. The end of the show is phenomenal, so you will want to stay until the end. Plan to exit as quickly as possible. You could order an Uber to arrive just as you get out of the show. We also were able to walk out to the entrance of the resort and get a taxi on two separate occasions during our visit. Or, you could try Minnie Van™ service operated in collaboration with Lyft. This service now operates for guests at select resorts.
Using an Uber, taxi or Minnie Van™ service, I estimate that it will take you about 30 minutes to get from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Disney's Animal Kingdom. If you took
Walt Disney World Bus Service, estimated transit time (using the My Disney Experience Mobile App) is 39 minutes.
Remember that when you arrive to Disney's Animal Kingdom, you will still need to get through the entrance, including bag and security checkpoints. Depending on where your Fast Pass+ attraction is located, you may have to really hustle to get there. If you can modify that Fast Pass+ selection at all, I would give yourself at least another 15 minutes, especially given the size of your group.
Denise, if you are celebrating any special occasions, Disney's Spirit of Aloha show is a perfect experience. Be prepared to dance!
Magic memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
