I have a large infant car seat with base that is very bulky. It is tall and white and can’t be folded in anyway. Will it be able to fit either in my closet or under the bed in my cruise ship room? We will be sailing on the Magic.

    Hi, Karli!

Oh, what wonderful memories I have of taking my kids on the Disney Magic when they were little. I certainly remember taking diapers, sippy cups, and even a car seat! Enjoy this magical time with them and take plenty of photos to capture the moments. You may even want to pre-purchase a Photo Package so you have professional pictures to enjoy for years to come.

The Disney Cruise Line ships were definitely designed with families in mind. The closet is quite spacious with one side having open floor space. You should have no problem storing your infant car seat in this space. If you have any issues, chat with your Stateroom Host/Hostess as I am sure they have assisted many families in getting all their items stored safely. You will find ample under bed storage as well for your luggage.

When arriving to the port, ask for an extra luggage tag. Tag your car seat and check it with your luggage. This will be a much better option than carrying it around the ship until your stateroom is ready (usually around 1:30pm). When your car seat arrives to your room with the rest of your checked luggage, take some time to unpack and get your room organized so you have space to move about the cabin easily.

Captains Mickey and Minnie love their littlest sailors, so they have many helpful items onboard such as Pack 'n Plays, bottle warmers, or diaper disposal units. Items such as diapers and wipes are available for purchase while onboard if you run out of any baby necessities.

Wishing you a magical cruise! If you have any questions or requests, stop by Guest Services on Deck 3 once onboard. They will be happy to assist you. Bon Voyage!
