We have a large group staying at Caribbean Beach Resort in September. Some members of our group don't get around too well anymore. Should I upgrade everyone to a perferred room? Is there any way I could ask for a specific building or area?

    Hi Kerri!

The Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) is a sprawling resort. I would advise upgrading to a preferred room, especially when traveling with guests with mobility issues. Our family has stayed in the Jamaica section as well as Trinidad South and the walk can be very long to the main areas of the resort.

Preferred rooms will be closer to Old Port Royale where the food court, store and pool are located. Martinique would be the closest section.

I would call and request the Martinique section as well as first floor rooms. There are no elevators in these two-story buildings although all public areas are handicap-accessible.

Requests are not guaranteed, however noting them on your reservation will help your chances of securing your most desired location. The only way to guarantee having a room in a preferred section is to upgrade to a preferred room. Even after doing so, you should request Martinique and first floor rooms as well.
