Hello. We have a large group going in May and I will be purchasing all the tickets. Can my kids link their MDE accounts to mine and them also purchase Genie+ on their own or do I have to make the purchase for them? Thank you!

    Hello Kelli,

Welcome to planDisney! I love visiting Walt Disney World in May! The weather is perfect and I especially love checking out the International Flower and Garden Festival in EPCOT. It's one of my favorite festivals and is full of delicious food stands and gorgeous topiaries.

I love visiting Walt Disney World with a large group of loved ones who can share in the magic and yummy snacks with me! It's important you first set it up so that your entire family is on your Family & Friends List.  Just visit the main Walt Disney World page, click on "My Disney Experience" on the top right, head to "My Family & Friends" and then "Add Guest." If you have kids above the age of 13 and can pay for Genie+ then I recommend they create their own My Disney Experience account. Otherwise, you can just create a profile for them under your account which will make you responsible for their plans and paying for their Genie+. My favorite part about all of this is having everyone pick out their character icon. You see everyone's personality by who they chose. My character icon is currently Ariel from The Little Mermaid!

Genie+ is purchased the day you want to use it. The window to purchase begins at midnight that day and I recommend you buy it before 7 am as it is then you have the chance to book your first Lightning Lane. When purchasing Genie+ you can select from your Family & Friends list those you want to purchase Genie+ for. They can purchase their Genie+ for their family or you can do it for them. I have purchased it for my family on past trips and they just paid me back. Whatever works for you is what you should do. Make sure that all guests have valid admission tickets and Theme Park Reservations for the days you are all attending.

I hope you have a magical time and if you have any more questions, please let me know!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
