I have a large family going on the Disney Cruise and we are split into three rooms. Two of our children are staying in a room with their grandmother, who needs to sign the Parental Debarkation Authorization Form, grandmother or parents?

    Ahoy Stephen –

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for visiting us here. Congratulations on your multi-generation Disney Cruise! You have a grand pirate crew, and that will make for some awesome family memories. I was reading the Parental Debarkation Authorization Form and the details behind it, and I agree that it is confusing! Here is what I understand from reviewing the documents:

The Parental Debarkation Authorization Form is only needed for children under the age of 18 who wish to leave the ship alone or with another adult who is not staying in the same stateroom with them.  Basically the top half of the form asks for the names and stateroom numbers of all of the adults and the children in the party. This is Disney’s way of figuring out which kids belong to which adults. The bottom half of the form is to be completed if you want to allow your children to leave the ship WITHOUT any adults. The form should be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Stephen, thank you for asking such an important question, and we hope that your pirate crew enjoys a vacation of a lifetime with Disney Cruise Line!
