We are a large family of 6 (2 adults, kids ages 3, 12, 16 and 17) My 12 year old does not like thrill rides, but my older children do. Will HS be enough to entertain my family for the day or should we do a park hopper and add on AK?

Hi there, Angie, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you're here with this awesome question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Traveling to the Most Magical Place on Earth with a large group is one of my favorite things to do. While it presents challenges, it is also a great way to multiply the magic!

Angie, if you've heard that Disney's Hollywood Studios is home to some of the best thrill rides at Walt Disney World Resort, you've heard correctly! The majority of your family shouldn't have any complaints! However, there is so much to do that doesn't involve a seatbelt.

Hollywood Studios is home to some fantastic shows that are entertaining for Guests of all ages. Hear me out - For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is a must-do. The hosts of the show are funnier than many comedians I've seen! The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is definitely worth a visit (grab some snacks on your way in). We also love the Beauty and the Beast live show, which never ceases to amaze me.

Newer to Hollywood Studios is Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, which lets you decide which villain has been treated most unfairly, and The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure. You could truly spend all day watching these fabulous shows.

On top of this, Hollywood Studios offers immersive experiences in both Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. If some of your party are waiting for others to exit an attraction, there is so much to see, do, and taste in these incredible areas. Have you tried the blue milk at Milk Stand or the Raspberry Lunch Box Tart at Woody's Lunch Box? I'd be remiss if I didn't mention fun photo opportunities, shopping, and Character experiences throughout the park!

You know your family best, and if all of the things I mentioned don't sound like they'll be up your 12-year-old's alley, you might consider the Park Hopper option. I'd recommend a visit to either Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or EPCOT. Both offer a variety of experiences that won't get your heart racing. If you choose Animal Kingdom Theme Park, keep an eye on the operating hours, since it tends to close earlier. I mentioned EPCOT as an option because it's a quick Disney Skyliner ride away from Hollywood Studios. The less time you spend in between parks, the more time you're spending enjoying all they have to offer!

Angie, I hope this is helpful to you as you continue to plan your visit. Please stop by with any other questions you have!

    See ya real soon!
