Ahoy Lillian!
Great to hEAR that you are planning a Disney cruise! One of the best things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is that so much is already
included with your reservation. I'm talking food, entertainment, activities...the WORKS!
Lanyards are a super convenient way that guests can keep up with their Key to the World card. Anyone who has cruised with Disney Cruise Line before gets a lanyard in the Cruise Terminal at check-in that shows what level of
Castaway Club they have attained. It's a wonderful perk for returning cruisers. I'm working hard to earn that Platinum lanyard as we speak, and as Tiana would say, I'm almost there!
If this is your first Disney cruise, then I suggest you buy lanyards with a clear pouch attached for you and your family or you can purchase lanyards at the
onboard shops. But hey, look on the bright side: once you debark at the end of your first cruise, you will officially be a member of the Castaway Club! That means on your next cruise, you'll have
extra benefits like early access to new itineraries, advance signups for Port Adventures and spa treatments, and even a few welcome back aboard gifts!
My final recommendation for you before you set sail is to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. This app will guide you with all the onboard activities and entertainment, from character meet and greets to dinner menus,
deck plans, and first-run movies.
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any other questions. We'd love to help sprinkle pixie dust on your sailing. Have a wonderful voyage!
SEA ya real soon!
