    What is a landyard? Trying to conserve room on packing. Do we have to bring our own beach towels for Castaway or Naussa beaches?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and we are so happy to help you with planning your Disney Cruise! A lanyard is a cord that is worn around the neck that is used to hold things like a badge, identification, or for our purposes, a Key to the World card. Many pirate guests choose to wear a lanyard to keep their Key to the World handy since the Key serves as your room key, is used to light up your cabin (Magic, Dream, Fantasy), can be used for charging like a credit card and is required to leave the ship. Guests who have already sailed with Disney Cruise Line at least once are Castaway Club members and will receive a lanyard at check-in. First time cruisers can bring one from home or purchase once onboard. Disney Cruise Line has towel service for Castaway Cay and provides towels for water based excursions and Port Adventures so leave those towels out of your treasure chest, Debora.
