We're landing at MCO at midnight the night before our cruise. We're staying at the Hyatt at MCO. How does luggage transfer work? Will our bags be claimed for us? How do our bags get to the ship? We're using Disney transportation to the port.

    Ahoy, Nicole!

I'm so happy to hear you're planning to use Disney Cruise Line Transportation for your upcoming vacation. Disney's ground transfers provide guests with a seamless transition from land to sea! The Hyatt Regency at Orlando International Airport has partnered with Disney Cruise Line, and they make it very easy for guests who arrive and stay prior to their sailing.

A few weeks before your Disney Cruise Line vacation, you'll receive a booklet in the mail that contains important cruise documents and luggage tags. You'll want to bring the luggage tags with you, but do not place them on your bags prior to your flight. Once you land in Orlando, you'll need to either grab your checked luggage from baggage claim, or you can head straight to check-in at the hotel and they'll retrieve your bags and deliver them to your room for a small fee. Simply let them know when you check in that you'll be using Disney ground transfers, and they'll give you detailed instructions for luggage pickup on embarkation morning.

The next morning, place your Disney Cruise Line luggage tags on your bags, and they'll pick them up from your hotel room and transport them to the ship for you. Make sure to pack a day bag with all of your essential items such as passports, medication, etc., because it will be late afternoon before you'll be reunited with your checked bags. When you're ready to leave for the port, simply make your way down to Level 1, Side B, and Disney's Magical Express area. There are continuous motorcoach departures to the port from 9:00am-1:15pm. You'll check in with the Disney Cruise representatives and soon board a comfy motorcoach to Port Canaveral and your Disney ship! The drive to the port is a little over an hour, so sit back, relax, and get ready for your magical vacation.

I hope this helps with your planning for your Disney Cruise! Please let us know if you have any further questions before you sail - we're happy to help. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
