    We are land on thanksgiving flying in from the uk and staying AKL We have my 3 year old granddaughter with us and was thinking about a character meal but we don't think we will get on site until about 7pm we would like enjoy the celebrations if we can

    Hello Sharon,
    How exciting to be visiting the United States of America during one of their biggest family Holidays -Thanksgiving; held this year on Thursday 27th November 2014. 
    I think after checking into the rather beautiful Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with your family I would head out on the complimentary Disney Resort Transportation and make for Epcot where last year the Thanksgiving firework celebrations were just spectacular.  Please keep in mind that crowd levels may be higher than usual during this special National Holiday.
    Schedules and special events for Thanksgiving 2014 have yet to be released, however to give you a flavor of what to expect you can check out last years information on the Disney Parks Blog.  
    I'm quite sure your darling little Granddaughter will love the magic of meeting a few of her Disney favorites during a character meal.  Why not try Chef Mickey's with the Big Cheese himself and his pals or Disney Junior Play 'n Dine at Hollywood & Vine with a selection of Disney favorites like Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First and Handy Manny.
