We land at Orlando Airport at 2:30PM on a Saturday and are taking the Magical Bus to our hotel, French Quarter. Do you think there would be enough time to get to Chef Mickey's for a 5:50PM reservation? Thank you.

    Hi, Lauren!

You must be so excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World.  Based on my own experiences, let me offer some advice on your arrival and travel times.

Disney's Magical Express offers a stress-free way to travel between your Disney Resort and Orlando International Airport.  Keeping in mind that flights can be delayed for lots of different reasons, I would not ever recommend assuming an on-time arrival.  Of course, it may very well happen but it also may not.  Even if your flight is on time and you are utilizing the luggage delivery service, I feel you would still be cutting this close.  Here's why... You may need to wait a bit for your motorcoach to depart.  Once you are on your way, it may take up to 90 minutes to get to your resort.   To get to Chef Mickey's, you have this route to consider.  From Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter, you will need to catch Disney Bus Transportation to Magic Kingdom Park.  From there, you will hop aboard the Disney Monorail (or take the walking path) to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  That journey will take roughly 35-40 minutes but you need to allow at least 20 minutes for your bus to arrive.  All this in mind, I feel you will be cutting things very close.  Perhaps you can try for Chef Mickey's on another day of your vacation?

    Magically yours in 2018,
