Hello Ladies! My family vacation is set for June 2015, we are staying at GFV (1 bedroom unit) for the first time!!! What is the best room to ask for on the garden side, and how do I get a top floor?

    Hi Stacey,

The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa look absolutely amazing. I love the Victorian elegance, and the location on the monorail makes getting to the theme parks easy.

The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offer two view categories: Lake View and Standard View. The villa that will be best for your family within each of these categories is specific to your unique family and what you value. Some guests like to be closest to paths and easy access to the pools and other amenities at the resort, while others prefer a quiet, out-of-the-way location. You can also request a higher floor as you mentioned that you would like. My best advice to you is to use these types of descriptors rather than specific villa numbers when making villa location requests. That way, if a specific villa is not available, Disney will still know the type of view or location for which you are looking. To make these requests, I suggest that you have them noted on your reservation. If you made your reservation through Disney Vacation Club, you can have your requested noted by calling Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800. If you made the reservation another way, such as through Disney directly or a travel agent, contact them to note the requests. You can also note requests when you complete online check-in. Please do understand that while Disney will do their best to honor all requests, they are not guaranteed.

There is a very thorough guest-generated thread including photos about the locations of various villas at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on the unofficial website DisBoards.  To find it, visit disboards.com and search for "VGF Villas & Views."

Have a great time planning your vacation and please let us know if you have any further questions, Stacey!
