Hi Latasha!
I do think it's a good idea to have a plan in mind of what parks you will do each day. I can understand that you may not want to have a strict schedule to follow (it is a vacation after all!), but I truly believe a plan will help you have a better vacation.
To figure out where you would like to spend your days, I would begin by making a list with your family of the top two or three things they most want to see and do while at Disney World. After each person makes their wish list, you will be able to see which parks you may want to allow extra time for.
Check the calendar on the
Disney Website to see the park hours and times for fireworks and parades. If you are staying at a Disney resort, consider taking advantage of the extra magic hours to make the most of your time.
When I plan our vacations, I always know what park we'll be at on each day, and on days when we park hop I know where we'll be hopping to. I always figure out where we'll be spending or days before I call and make our dining reservations. This way I can try to match where we'll be eating with the park we plan to be at or a resort close by.
While it's important to have a plan, make sure to allow for spontaneity! There have been times where I have cancelled dinner reservations so we could go to another park instead.
Have fun planning your vacation!
