Hello ladies! I'm trying to figure out what is best for our family. My husband's Mom, Dad, Sister and her family, and Aunt are all going to Disney for vacation but we're not sure we want to pay the extra money for room or food or what? Suggestions?

Hi, Heather! How awesome that you get to share the magic of Walt Disney World with your whole family! It sounds like an awesome trip.

I think where to invest a little more of the vacation budget depends on how you like to vacation.  For many Walt Disney World guests, the room is really just the place where they sleep.  They spend the bulk of their vacation at the theme parks or taking advantage of some of the other amazing things there are to do throughout the resort area.  They would rather stay at a value resort to save money there so they can spend in other locations.

If you are going to do that, you might find your budget allows for a few nicer meals.  I have enjoyed some of the best meals of my life at Walt Disney World.  Not only will you find amazing food at signature dining locations, the experiences of places that feature Disney characters, or have unique experiences such as 50s Prime Time Cafe or 'Ohana.

There are also packages available through Walt Disney World that will combine your room, a dining plan, and theme park passes.  Some guests find the best way to budget for a vacation is to do the package, where most of their expenses are paid for when they arrive.

I hope your vacation planning is fun and stress free! Come on back and see us if you need help with anything else.
