Hi Ladies! Arriving in 12 days for our first stay at SS. Our home resort is AKV, so I really know nothing about SS. I know it's huge, so I was wondering if you can give me any advice on which building to request for convenience to buses and food. Thanks

    Hi Kristen,

Your vacation is so soon - you must be getting really excited!

You are right, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is a large resort.  Since you are interested in convenience to Disney transportation and food, I suggest requesting a room in The Springs section.  The Springs section includes rooms numbered 3101 - 3436, 3501- 3836, and 4101 - 4436.  These rooms are very near to The Carriage House, which is where you check in , as well as the High Rock Spring Pool area, Disney transportation, and both The Artist's Palette quick service location and The Turf Club Bar and Grill table service restaurant.  The trade-off to these rooms is that because so many of the amenities are so nearby, they can be a little more crowded with people from other areas of the resort moving to and from these amenities.

Since you are so close to your vacation, I suggest that you call the resort directly at 407-827-1100 to ask that your room location request be noted on your reservation.  When I stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, the cast member showed me a map with all of the currently available rooms when I checked in and allowed me to choose which one I wanted.  While I cannot guarantee that this will happen, it can't hurt to ask what other rooms might be available if you are not happy with the room location that you are assigned.

I hope that this information is helpful, Kristen!  Have a great vacation, and relax and enjoy when you hear those magic words, "Welcome Home."
