Kristen, thx for your answer on military tickets. My brother wants to buy me a ticket using his military credentials, but he has an annual pass himself. Would I still be able to use a military ticket if he buys it but does not purchase one for himself?

    Welcome Back, Lisa!

Yes, you will absolutely be able to use a Military Promotional Ticket purchased by your brother even when he isn't purchasing one for himself. I've purchased these tickets half a dozen times, and most recently used them three weeks ago.

If purchased on base in advance:  He'll receive an 'Exchange Ticket' that has a 16-digit code on the back that he could technically send you a picture of for you to link to your My Disney Experience Account so you can make FastPass+ reservations. Once linked everything will be the exact same as though you had purchased a non-discounted ticket directly from Disney. Exchange tickets do need to be activated before its person can actually enter a theme park. A 5 minute process, your brother will present his Mil ID and the paper exchange ticket at a Guest Services desk where the Cast Member will note in their system that he is redeeming this offer, and that this ticket is being used by you. They'll scan your band to double check that everything synced up and you'll be good to go! (Pro Tip: Guest Services lines can be long in the morning, about a 30 minute wait, so try to activate your ticket the day/night before you plan to use it. We usually go to the Guest Services office at Disney Springs.)

If purchased through Shades of Green: He'll receive an activated and ready-for-fun ticket that doesn't require a stop to Guest Services before park entry. He may have to designate at the time of purchase that you're going to be the user, but he can again send you a pic of the code on the back and hold on to your ticket until you two meet up next, or he can mail it to you ahead of your journey to Florida.

I hope this helped and We'll See You Real Soon Lisa!
