Hi Korliss, We are planning to visit Blizzard Beach. I think that I read somewhere that we can choose to reserve space shaded from the sun. How does that work? If we do not reserve a shaded spot, is it hard to find something shaded? Thanks

    Hi Sara!

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park has a couple of options for you to choose from when looking for a place to cool off from the hot, Florida sun!
You can rent a cabana for the day that accommodates 6 people and includes updated furniture, all day drink mugs, cooler with ice and bottle water, tables, rental towels, and an attendant. Umbrellas are also available that accommodates 4 people, with 2 lounge chairs, cocktail table, and 2 towels. Prices vary for both the cabana and umbrella, based on the time of year.  So you would need to call and speak with a Castmember at 407-WDW-PLAY for the latest prices and availability.

If you do not reserve a cabana or umbrella, shady spots can be found near the food and coffee kiosks, but you have to get there early to score one of those.

Happy planning and remember to wear plenty of sunscreen and drink lots of water!

If you have any more questions, feel free to find me again and I will be delighted to help you plan your Disney getaway!
