Knowing that we visit Disney often, someone challenged us to do a four park in one day challenge. We've done that so my son suggested an Ultimate Park Challenge - all 4 parks PLUS TL and DS. (using EE and EEH). Possible?

Well hey there Colleen and welcome to planDisney!

As an avid 4 Parks in 1 Day Challenger myself, you sound like my kind of people! In fact, my husband and I like to muse about the different strategies we'd employ to make it work and I'm happy to let you know that we've successfully managed to complete this Ultimate Park Challenge; squeezing in a Water Park and Disney Springs into the day is totally possible if you're willing to go to great lengths to achieve this goal!

First of all, you'll want to specify your "ground rules" that will determine what counts for your challenge. (For example, driving on your own or using a ride share service between destinations is often the fastest way but we consider Expert Mode to be exclusively using complimentary Walt Disney World Resort transportation.) In addition, we counted each destination only if we could ride or eat something and take a picture with a Theme Park Icon to prove that we were there! Here's how we'd do it in the most time-efficient way that worked for us:

    • Times are subject to change on the Hours & Events Calendar, but since it looks like you'll be coming this summer your best bet is to attempt this on a Wednesday, ensuring that you are staying in a Participating Resort Hotel so that you are eligible for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on top of the Early Theme Park Benefit for Disney Resort Hotel guests.
    • Plan for early entry at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park at 8:30 AM and "rope drop" DINOSAUR to avoid the crowds primarily heading toward Pandora - The World of Avatar.
    • Exit soon afterward to take the closest available complimentary bus to a Disney Resort where you may switch to another one headed for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and head directly from the changing rooms to enjoy Crush 'n' Gusher. Since you'll still have to wait until 2:00 PM for Park Hopping at the current time, you have a little wiggle room to dry off or change outfits before boarding a bus to Disney Springs for lunch.
    • Your next stop would be to head to a Disney Resort Hotel on the Disney Skyliner route for easy Park-Hopping access to Disney's Hollywood Studios where we typically aim for a shorter Single-Rider wait to be an Engineer on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Hop back on the Disney Skyliner afterward to enter EPCOT from the International Gateway entrance en route to Spaceship Earth
    • From here it's time to hop on the Walt Disney World Monorail system to end with an extended evening at Magic Kingdom Park and reward yourselves with whatever attraction you choose to celebrate completing the Ultimate Challenge!
Let me know how this works out for you Colleen; I wish you the best on your quest to conquer it all in one day on your upcoming adventure!
