Hi, I would just like to know if it is worth going to a on site, non disney hotel since it is affordable but i do want to get the most out of this trip as possible but be affordable to!

    Hi Qays!

Are talking about the preferred hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard in Downtown Disney?  They are great hotels and often great prices!  My favorite is the Doubletree Guest Suites.  They are very spacious rooms and completely affordable, usually comparable to the price of a Value Resort.  The Hilton in Downtown Disney is the only one that offers Extra Magic Hours. This is a great hotel too and you can walk just across the street to Downtown Disney.  All of these hotels have a charge for parking, so keep that in mind if you have your own car.

It's always a tough decision to stay at a Disney World resort versus a non-Disney resort.  There are advantages such as beautiful decor, Disney service, transportation, location, Disney Dining Plan and Extra Magic Hours.  If this is your first Disney World vacation, I would suggest staying at a Disney hotel if the price difference isn't that big.  You will definitely lose some of the "magic" if you stay elsewhere.  Even at the Value Resorts, everywhere you turn you are reminded that you are at the most magical place on Earth and it will be that much more special to your children.  I would save the other hotels for another time.

    Have a pixie dusted day!
