I know World Showcase opens later than EPCOT. Can you walk through World Showcase and exit International Gateway when EPCOT opens? We are planning to check out different resort hotels to see Christmas decorations and want to go early to maximize park time.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Courtney! I love wandering around World Showcase as it opens! The peaceful villages are visual notes for me to stop later and grab a bite to eat!

You’re correct that World Showcase does open later than Epcot’s Future World on many mornings. Guests may enter the Park through the front gates, or through the International Gateway if they are staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, or even Disney’s Boardwalk Inn or Yacht Club Resort. While they might not be able to make it all the way into World Showcase, they can pass by England and Canada on their way to Future World. Likewise, you can walk through Mexico on the other side into Norway for breakfast at Akershus or even to ride Frozen Ever After when Future World is open. If you are wanting to skip World Showcase, you can indeed leave the park through the International Gateway to Resort hop to the Deluxe Resorts. Don’t forget to see Beach Club’s Gingerbread Carousel; It’s totally handmade and smells amazing!

If I can help you find more holiday fun throughout Epcot, please let me know. The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is really something to experience! ~ Lindsey P.
