I know that you can see the Wishes fireworks from the beach at Poly. How much time should we allow if we're at a park and want to go to the beach to see them? We're not staying at Poly so this is ok to do? Also, what's best way to get back to POFQ after.

It is absolutely fine to go over to the Polynesian to watch the fireworks, and the view is INCREDIBLE!  Our favorite spot is Sunset Point, which is right next to the Tokelau building.

You will have 2 options to get the Polynesian from the Magic Kingdom:  monorail ( appr. 10 minutes) and boat (appr. 15 minutes).  I'd probably allow myself at least 30 minutes in case you have to wait for transportation and to have enough time to walk to the beach.  I think I'd select the boat transportation because it will actually drop you off pretty much right at the beach.  Also, if you are running late, you will be able to see the fireworks from the boat.  However, you may have a longer wait for the boat from the Magic Kingdom.

To return to Port Orleans French Quarter, you can take the boat or monorail back to the Magic Kingdom where you can then take a bus back to your report.
