I know that the weeks surrounding Easter Sunday are very busy, however, my kids are off from school two weeks after Easter. Is the third week of April (11th thru 18th) a busy time at the parks if Easter Sunday is April 5th? Thank you.

    Hi Jon,

It's good to hear that you have begun your planning process well ahead of your trip. You will be so glad you took the time to think of all the details. One of the most important details, in my opinion, is the time of year to travel.

While you are correct in the assumption that the week surrounding Easter is quite busy, your travel date is almost a week past that. Most of the spring break crowds will occur during the month of March and may filter a bit into April. However, after Easter has passed, the crowds historically drop to a moderate level to possibly even low crowds. The few times we have traveled after Easter have been quite pleasant and more than manageable. Keep in mind that it is very hard to predict exactly how it will play out from year to year.

I hope I offered a little insight to consider while doing your magical planning.
