Hi Dawn, and welcome to planDisney! I am excited to chat with you about After Hours events at the Walt Disney World Resort - one of my favorite
special events hosted at the Most Magical Place on Earth! I just love late nights in the theme parks, shorter wait times, and that extra magic that hits when the sun sets and the parks are lit up by my favorite attractions!
Historically,
After Hours ticketed events take place in select theme parks on select nights from January through April; however, there is another option to experience after hours fun at both Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios during November with their ticketed holiday events!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park is offered as a separate, ticketed admission on select nights in November and December. The event offers unique character meet and greets, holiday overlays on select rides and attractions, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and Mickey's Wonderful Once Upon a Christmastime Fireworks Show - all exclusive to this special event! And I can't forget to mention that it will quite possibly snow on Main Street, U.S.A during this event as well!
Another option for after hours holiday fun is the new
Jollywood Nights in Disney's Hollywood Studios, which debuted in 2023. This event offers the glitz and glamour of Hollywood partnered with event-exclusive shows and entertainment alongside some delectable treats only available to party-goers.
With both of these options, you will have the benefit of shorter wait times due to limited capacity ticket sales, and the magic of experiencing all of your favorite attractions after hours!
Dawn, I hope this helps you find a way to stay late during your vacation! If you are interested in either of these events, as a bonus tip, the tickets usually go on sale in late June for Guests of
Disney Resort Collection Hotels, and about a week later for other Guests staying off property. Be sure to watch for updates and announcements about these and other special events on the
Disney Parks Blog and come back anytime with more vacation planning questions!
