Do you know if they will still be using the boarding pass virtual queue in March for Rise of the Resistance? Any fastpass or virtual queue updates on Mickey's runaway railroad?

Hi, Jennifer!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It certainly is a great time to be planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  There are so many new things to see and do at the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I'm glad to hEAR that you're doing your resEARch on how to best experience it all!

There has been a lot of excitement over at Disney's Hollywood Studios lately due to the recent opening of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.  This epic attraction is unlike anything we have ever experienced before, and because of its popularity, the Walt Disney World Resort has implemented a virtual queue system using boarding groups for guests who wish to access the attraction.  Currently, all guests who want to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance must join a boarding group using the My Disney Experience mobile app once they enter Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Boarding groups have been filling quickly, so I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the park opens.  Please also note that all members of your party who wish to ride must be inside the park to join a boarding group.  We have not yet heard how long the boarding group system will be in place, so be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog to see if any of these procedures change prior to your trip.

My kids are big fans of the Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, so my family is looking forward to the opening of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.  This new attraction which will take guests on a whirlwind ride through a cartoon world is expected to open on March 4, 2020.  So far, no announcements have been made regarding the use of FastPass+ or the possible implementation of a virtual queue system for this new attraction.  Again, the Disney Parks Blog will be your best source for all of the latest news.
