Do you know if Uber or Lyft can provide vehicles to pick up and transport a person needing a scooter at WDW? My wife will need one for our trip starting next Friday at SSR and we figure it would be easier than riding Disney bus transportation. Thank you!

Hi John! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You and your wife will be in "The Most Magical Place on Earth" in just FIVE days! Yay! My husband and I enjoyed a stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa earlier this year and we had a wonderful vacation. I especially loved the walking path to Disney Springs. It was beautiful!

While I'm not sure about other ride-sharing services, I can tell you that Minnie Van Service through the Lyft app has accessible vehicles for those with standard wheelchairs and motorized vehicles, including Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs/scooters). One of my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists, Andrea, used Minnie Van Service with her scooter just a few months ago and it worked out really well! To request an accessible vehicle, you will need to call (407) 828-3500 and requests can be made 45-60 minutes prior to the time that you need your ride. I recommend making the request at the full 60-minute mark, because it can take a while to get an accessible vehicle, especially during busy periods. I recently answered a question about scooters and Walt Disney World complimentary bus transportation, so feel free to check that answer out at the link I just provided as well!

Enjoy "scooting" around the Walt Disney World Resort, John! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Meet the Panelist: Tabitha, Tennessee

Hello all! I'm a happily married, proud mom to two young children, and I love to plan trips to Walt Disney World Resort. One of my favorite things about taking a Disney Parks vacation is that there is always something new and wonderful to discover, no matter if this is your first trip or if you visit multiple times per year. I'm excited to help you plan your next adventure!
