Welcome to planDisney, Tick! Like me, it sounds like you are a fan of the water parks at the Walt Disney World Resort! Why wouldn't we be? They are a great way to beat the heat of the Florida sun! They are also a welcome rest after a couple of days trekking across the theme parks!
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is temporarily closed. At the present time, there are no announcements regarding a reopening date for this water park. The Walt Disney World Resort continues to open parks and attractions in a responsible manner that is safe for Guests and Cast Members. Keep checking the Walt Disney World Resort website and the Disney Parks Blog for updates regarding the reopening of this water park.
While we wait for news of the reopening of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Guests are still able to enjoy Disney’s
Blizzard Beach Water Park which has already reopened! If you’ve never taken the plunge down Summit Plummet, then get ready for the slide of a lifetime!
Tick, if water parks are an important part of your vacation, then you might want to consider Disney’s Yacht Club or Beach Club Resorts for your next visit! These hotels are home to one of the greatest pools in the entire Walt Disney World Resort!
Stormalong Bay is a three-acre sand-bottom pool complete with a shipwreck and lazy river! My kids loved staying at these resorts just for the pool!
