Hi Andrew,
Thanks for swinging by planDisney with another question about
Disney Springs access for your upcoming vacation to the
Walt Disney World Resort. I adore Disney Springs – it's such a great atmosphere and gives me a touch of Disney without requiring a theme park ticket! There’s always new food or drinks to try, and of course the energy and people watching is always top notch.
While it’s not a theme park, Disney Springs is a large Guest area that is part of the Walt Disney World Resort. It has a formal security process and perimeter established, requiring all Guests to encounter a full security screening and potential bag checks prior to entry. This access begins just before the shops and restaurants officially open around 10:00 A.M. but you won’t be able to get through as early as you’re requesting. Both the walk-in entrances and parking garage will be secured until officially opened closer to the Disney Springs opening time.
My pal Mandy shared a few ideas with you in getting to the theme parks, but I’ll add that your offsite hotel should also offer shuttle service to the theme parks as early as 7:00 – 8:00 A.M. You can then stroll around their property as a ticketed Guest and enjoy a quieter morning as desired before it gets busy. Please review your hotel's website or inquire at the front desk about specifics for these shuttles.
The
hotels in the Disney Springs area are lovely, I’ve stayed in several and they all offer beautiful grounds and lush greenery for a comfortable walk in the morning if that’s what you’re truly seeking. You can also safely walk along Hotel Plaza Boulevard, near Disney Springs and past many hotels in that area, on the generous sidewalk among shady greenery.
Let us know what other questions you have about your upcoming stay at the Walt Disney World Resort, we love to help share the right policies and guidelines for a safe stay or share tips to make the most of your special visit.
Wishing you a practically perfect vacation,
Amy
