I know tix can be connected for lightning lane reservations. We are a large group, and don't want ONE person to manage all tickets. But, can they all still be linked for LL, and still be held by individual people, on their own apps/magic bands?

Hey there, Jeff! Welcome to planDisney. You came to the right place with your great question about visiting Disneyland Resort with a large group.

In December, my planDisney class of 18 visited Disneyland Resort together. We set out with the goal of sticking together and experiencing everything as one big team. It was surprisingly easy and so much fun.

You can absolutely link tickets as a group, which allows everyone to grab Lightning Lanes together while still managing their own individual tickets. The easiest way to do this is by adding all the tickets to each person’s Disneyland Mobile app. Start by making sure everyone has the app downloaded and is logged in with their own Disney Account. From the home screen, tap the three line menu at the bottom right. Select My Tickets and Passes, then tap the blue plus sign and choose Link Tickets and Passes. You can scan, tap, or manually enter each ticket ID. Once linked, each ticket stays connected to that person’s app and MagicBand+ for park entry, Lightning Lane redemption, and PhotoPass linking. This setup also lets one, a few, or all members of your group grab Lightning Lanes together so everyone can experience the magic side by side.

It sounds like you may be planning to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and here is a little bonus I love reminding Guests about. Disney PhotoPass digital downloads are included. Be sure to stop and capture those digital memories throughout the parks. I treasure our large group photos because they bring back all the togetherness and fun from that visit.

For dining with a large group, here is a tip for what we found especially helpful. Depending on your group size, it can be challenging to find Advance Dining Reservations for everyone at once. What worked best for us was booking smaller reservations with times as close to each other as possible. When we checked in, Cast Members did their best, although never guaranteed, to seat us near each other. We also enjoyed using quick service dining locations, where everyone could grab their food and then meet back up to dine together.

I see you are headed to Disneyland in June. You will be visiting right in the middle of the Disneyland 70th Celebration, which will still be sprinkling magic and memories across the parks, from seven decades of Disneyland. The Paint the Night Parade will be dazzling Guests with brilliant, colorful fun with over one million lights, and in May, the new Mandalorian and Grogu adventure arrives on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. There is so much excitement waiting for you.

Jeff, I hope your visit is wonderful, full of magical moments, and filled with special memories. If you have any other questions as you plan, come back and see us anytime.
