Hi, Lesley! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! October is such a festive time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and I highly recommend looking into two of my favorite fall events:
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival!
I understand that you're planning to see Mickey Mouse in his Sorcerer's role in the
Fantasmic! nighttime spectacle at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. In my experience, Fantasmic! starts at 8:00 PM in October, but sometimes Disney will change schedule times, so stay tuned to the Walt Disney World website for exact showtimes as you get closer to your trip.
Two shows per night used to be routine, but recently Disney has cut Fantasmic! to a single showing, so it's not unusual for Guests to queue up far in advance. You're wise to consider the
Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience. Your seats will be in a prime location of the 7,900- seat Hollywood Hills Amphitheater; this is the best way to get a great viewing spot without having to wait in line or use a
Fast Pass+ selection. You'll be treated to desserts such as Maleficent's Chocolate Cupcake and Evil Queen's Apple Crisp, fitting for the Good vs. Evil theme. There are also some savory items as well as specialty beverages for Guests 21 and older. The 30-minute show includes some infamous Disney villains. My Mouseketeers loved the grand finale when some rarely seen Disney characters cruise aboard a replica of the "Steamboat Willie" boat.
Good luck with the rest of your planning, Lesley, and remember that we're all EARs here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you need anything else!
