Welcome back to planDisney! What a special time of year to visit…and it sounds like you’ve made it a tradition over the years!
With how popular the New Year’s Eve fireworks are at Disney World, I can totally understand why it’s been so tough to snag those reservations. But here are a few things you can try.
First, mark your
Enchanting Extras reservation booking window in your calendar now as a reminder to book as soon as it opens. I like to use a date calculator to tell me the specific date. If you’re staying at a
Disney World resort, your booking window will open for your entire trip 60 days prior to your resort check-in date. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open 60 days prior to the specific date you want the reservation for.
Next, from my experience, Enchanting Extra reservations often open around midnight Eastern instead of 6 AM Eastern like dining reservations. While I can’t guarantee that, it’s still definitely worth looking at that time!
Finally, right before your booking window opens, I recommend logging into your My Disney Experience account and opening the specific page for each Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party:
Pre-Party,
Post-Party, and
Seats & Sweets. That way, you can click the “Check Available Days” button right when your booking window opens. Of course, you’ll want to start with the party you’re hoping for, but then you can always check the others to give yourself even more chances at it.
Of course, if you don’t happen to get a spot, check back here and there leading up to your trip to see if anything becomes available.
