Hi ☺️ I want to know at what time Magic Kingdom opens. I would love to see the show in the morning let the magic begin but I’m not staying in property. At what time could we go in the park? Thanks in advance

Hi there, Gladys, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm sure you are so excited that your magical vacation is almost here! Can you believe that in less than two weeks you will be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. surrounded by bubbles floating on the breeze as Cinderella Castle shines in the distance? Just picturing the scene has me giddy on your behalf, so let's get right to your question and make sure you don't miss a single minute of magic.

You'll helpfully find Walt Disney World Resort theme park operating hours listed in the My Disney Experience app and on the Hours & Events Calendar online. I suggest checking there to verify the times closer to your vacation as hours are always subject to change, but currently, Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to open at 9 AM the week of your visit with Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort hotel Guests beginning at 8:30. Even though you will not be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, Gladys, you will likely be able to enter Magic Kingdom Parks before the official opening time. Walt Disney World Resort typically allows Guests (regardless of Resort hotel status) to enter designated areas of theme parks about an hour before they are scheduled to open. At Magic Kingdom Park, this area is Main Street, U.S.A., so you can use that extra hour to check out any shops that happen to be open or snap a few photos before heading to Cinderella Castle to start your day with Let the Magic Begin at 8:55.

If you're interested in ending your day the way you started it - with fireworks lighting up the sky surrounding Cinderella Castle - then I encourage you to make time to enjoy Happily Ever After, Gladys! If you'd like to see the story projected on Cinderella Castle, you'll want to secure a spot along Main Street, U.S.A. well in advance of the start time or purchase entrance to a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party. If you're more interested in colorful fireworks and avoiding crowds than seeing the projections, I encourage you to enjoy the display from my favorite spot: Frontierland. When you stand on the bridge in front of Tiana's Bayou Adventure you will not only see the explosions in the sky, they'll be reflected on the Rivers of America as well.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Gladys, as you prepare for your vacation. If you have any additional questions or are in need of suggestions, feel free to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
