How do I know what tier a ride is when making fast passes at WDW?

    Hi Linda!

I am so glad that you decided to stop by the Disney Parks Mom’s Panel. Nothing makes me happier than having the privilege of helping guests just like you!

FastPass+ allows for a much shorter wait time for some of the most popular attractions and entertainment offerings. In my opinion, it is so important to make the most out of your FastPass+ entitlements and I am so excited that you are thinking about this already!

You can choose your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in for the length of your stay if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel. If you are staying off property, you still have the option to choose FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance of your visit. You can start making your FastPass+ selections at 7:00am Eastern Time at either the 60-day or 30-day mark. Once you make your selections, they are not set in stone. You are able to modify your selections at any time (based on availability) via the My Disney Experience App, My Disney Experience planning page on your desktop, or at any of the FastPass+ kiosks located throughout the four Theme Parks.

At this time, Magic Kingdom doesn’t have any “tiered” rides so you won’t have to worry about that in this park. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Epcot do use the tier system. Tier One allows you to choose one attraction within this grouping. You can then select up to two other attractions within Tier Two. When you log in to your My Disney Experience to make your FastPass+ selections in each of the Theme Parks, the system will prompt you to choose one attraction in Tier One and up to two attractions in Tier Two. As the offerings can change at any time, when making your selections My Disney Experience will show you the most up to date offerings in each tier. It is important to know that not all attractions or experiences offer FastPass+.

I hope that this helps to answer your question! We can’t wait to hear from you again soon!
