Hi, Marybelle! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad to hear you're planning a magical vacation with your granddaughter. It will be an incredible bonding experience that she will always cherish!
Theme park tickets can be purchased up to 120 days in advance, subject to availability. When you buy tickets through the Disneyland website, you will also be prompted to make
park reservations, so the sooner you can do this, the better. If my calculations are correct, you should be able to finalize this step by the end of June. It will be exciting to cross this important trip planning milestone off your list, so you can start planning other aspects, such as your flights.
You may want to consider adding the Park Hopper Option to your tickets. During your purchase, you'll choose which theme park you wish to start your day—then you may visit the other park on the same day after 1:00 PM. Once your transaction is complete, Disney will send you an email confirmation of your tickets and park reservations along with a QR code.
October is a spook-tacular time of year to visit! For the last 20 years, the
Haunted Mansion has received a Jack Skellington makeover that's frightfully fun for all ages. If you ride, look for the oversized gingerbread house in the attraction's Grand Hall. Another planDisney favorite that's set to return this year is
Oogie Boogie Bash. This is a separately ticketed event held on select nights at Disney California Adventure Park. I think your granddaughter would love dressing up and experiencing the interactive Trick-or-Treat Trails! Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for more details on how to buy event tickets coming soon!
See ya real soon, Marybelle!
