I know staying on property entitles you to extra magic hours and certain events like MVMCP takes an additional ticket. I am curious as how disney knows who should or shouldn't be there for these additional perks? How do they keep people from staying longer

    Hi Philip,

One of the best reasons to stay on property are the perks like Extra Magic Hours, Disney Magical Express and booking FastPass+ 60 days ahead. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are open to any guest who purchase those tickets regardless if they stay on property or not.

For the early entry events such as Extra Magic Hours in the morning, you are only eligible to come to the park if you are staying on property. When you swipe your ticket or Magic Band, it knows if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort or not.

For the late entry Extra Magic Hours or the special parties, Disney issues special wrist bands and does sweeps of the park to make sure all the other guests without privileges have left the park.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
