Hello, Sherley!
Thanks so much for reaching out to us. I hope we can help you create extraordinary Star Wars memories with your kids!
The Disneyland Resort
just announced the addition of new characters to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which is extremely exciting. So when you spend time there,
be on the lookout for Chewbacca, Rey, Boba Fett, Kylo Ren, Fennec Shand, and Stormtroopers. Character encounters at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge are really all about interaction, so feel free to talk and create moments with them before taking the pictures. It's genuinely a lot of fun!
Your family may also meet Darth Vader in Tomorrowland, and it's wise to keep an eye on the
Disneyland Mobile App to time your day around these encounters. The best way to do it is to tap the map icon (second icon from left to right) and click on the drop-down menu on top. You should then select "Characters" and see where you'll find each one.
Since your kids love Star Wars, you may want to have them create a lightsaber at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I felt goosebumps when my husband and I made a lightsaber together at
Savi's Workshop, so I highly recommend this experience. I suggest scheduling it for around 3:00 p.m. to enjoy the first half of your day before the ceremony.
To make the day more enjoyable, I recommend using the Disneyland Mobile App to secure
Individual Lightning Lanes to enjoy
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance through the Lightning Lane queue, as this will save your family a lot of time.
You will also have a blast piloting the fastest hunk of junk around in the galaxy at
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, which is extraordinary (but not for those who feel motion sickness). For lunch, I'd grab a bite at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. A trip to Batuu wouldn't be complete with a visit to
Oga's Cantina, so don't forget to book it 60 days in advance using the Disneyland Mobile App.
Finally, I'd suggest ending your day at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to enjoy the nighttime atmosphere. It comes alive at night, and I bet you'll hear a ship or two take flight!
I hope you and your kids have the best time in a galaxy far, far away!
May the magic (and the Force) be with you,
Julie
