Hi Juan! Welcome to planDisney!
There is nothing better than having a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation upcoming knowing that you are staying at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! It is my absolute favorite hotel and for so many wonderful reasons. There are some fabulous dining locations, including
Kona Café and
'Ohana. Even when my family does not stay at the Polynesian Resort, we always make a breakfast reservation for Kona Café! Most people will tell you to go for the Tonga Toast, but the Macadamia Nut Pancakes are the right choice! The macadamia nut butter and pineapple sauce are the perfect combinations.
If you are having a resort day, the
Lava Pool is one of the best places to be on Disney property. You are transported to a tropical oasis consisting of a volcano, waterfall, and waterslide. All of this sits next to a white sandy beach that overlooks Cinderella Castle and the Seven Seas Lagoon. You cannot beat it! Well, as you can tell, I really enjoy this resort.
To get to your question, yes, all of the standard hotel rooms at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort have been refurbished and are now Moana-themed. I couldn't have thought of a better idea than to incorporate this new Disney classic into this resort. There are some incredible touches to each room and if you are traveling with little ones, they are going to love it!
With that said,
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows did not receive the same makeover. Those rooms have not been updated to include the Moana theming. Be sure when you are booking your room that you are doing so at the correct resort.
Juan, I hope you enjoy the Polynesian as much as I do! If you have any more questions before your arrival, you know where to find me!
See ya real soon!
