Hello, I know that the standard Minnie Vans have 2 car seats. If I bring a 3rd car seat will I be allowed to install that one myself and have all 3 car seats in at once?

    Hi Tess,

Welcome to planDisney! It's always great to help fellow Guests plan the details of their Walt Disney World Resort vacation, especially when traveling with little ones in tow.

As you prepare for your visit, you’ll be glad to know that complimentary transportation makes getting around the Resort both convenient and fun. Whether you’re gliding through the sky on the Disney Skyliner, cruising the Seven Seas Lagoon by boat, catching a quick ride on the iconic Monorail, or hopping on a bus to your next destination, there are plenty of options to get you where you need to go.

For those moments when you’re looking for more direct transportation, the Minnie Van Service is a great option. This paid service is accessible through the Lyft app and features vehicles driven by Disney Cast Members. They’re equipped with two Graco 4Ever car seats and offer service to nearly any location on property.

While standard Minnie Vans come with two car seats, unfortunately, the ability to accommodate a third (that you bring) will be at the discretion of the Cast Member driver. According to a friendly Cast Member I spoke to on your behalf, the driver must install the two car seats provided, so unless the driver feels comfortable installing or is comfortable with your installation of the personally owned car seat/booster, you are subject to the two-seat limit. If you're traveling with three little ones who require car seats, you may want to consider booking an additional Minnie Van or alternate transportation options that can meet your family's needs.

As a parent myself, I know how important it is to make travel as smooth and comfortable as possible. Thankfully, Walt Disney World goes above and beyond for families with young children. Each theme park has a Baby Care Center, which is a quiet, air-conditioned space equipped with changing tables, nursing rooms, a feeding area, and even a small shop/vending machine with baby essentials like diapers, wipes, and formula.

Another couple Disney dad pro tips: Planning a midday break is also a game-changer. Heading back to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel for a nap or a dip in the pool can help little ones (and grown-ups!) recharge before heading back out for more fun. And don’t forget to pack a few snacks from home that your kids are familiar with. Sometimes that extra bit of routine makes all the difference during a busy day in the parks.

If you have any more questions as you count down the days to your visit, feel free to reach out again. Helping you plan a smooth and joyful experience is what we’re here for!

    See you real soon,
    Brent
