Hello, Ken, welcome to planDisney, and congratulations on your upcoming engagement and wedding! A visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort for vacation is already magical, I can only imagine how much more amazing your visit will be knowing that you will be creating a core memory by popping the question at the Magic Kingdom.
You’ll be happy to know that there are no special logistics required to propose at any of the theme parks, water parks, or
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, Cast Members witness these happy moments daily! However, if you want assistance planning the perfect proposal, I would start by contacting
Disney Meetings & Events (
Submit A Request) to see if they have any suggestions. They specialize in creating unforgettable celebrations and could be the perfect starting point. Otherwise,
Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons suggests adding a magical element of surprise to your special day by booking an
Enchanting Extra. Looking at what is offered in the Magic Kingdom, booking a
Capture Your Moment photography session, or popping the question during a
Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party, sound straight out of a... Disney movie! Or you could book
Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour and find the time to spontaneously drop to one knee whenever the mood strikes during your 5-hour walking tour! Another idea would be to book a dining reservation somewhere special, like
Cinderella’s Royal Table or
Be Our Guest, and add on a
specialty cake!
If you haven’t made your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation yet, and you are interested in a more intimate proposal location, I would suggest booking your stay at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, or
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. All three resorts offer views and the music of the Happily Ever After fireworks but without the crowds of the Magic Kingdom. You could propose on the dock outside of Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian, on the beach of the Polynesian, or on the fourth-floor balcony of the Contemporary.
Whatever you choose to do, Ken, I do not doubt that your proposal will be unforgettable! If you have any other questions or would like more suggestions, please do not hesitate to ask me another question!
Congrats,
Brent
