I know it is too soon to book a trip for either Nov/Dec 2014 but this is when we are looking at going and would like to have an idea about cost so we can choose a resort. What would be the best way for us to check prices? Would this years rates be compar

    Hi Casey!

Actually, it is never too soon to start planning your Walt Disney World vacation, planning is half of the fun!My type A personality might be showing a bit, but seriously you can never start planning too early.  Walt Disney World has actually released the room rates for the 2014 season although they are just a little tricky to find at first, but that's why I am here to help! :-)

    Here's how to find them:
    • Go to Walt Disney World website and click on the tab that says "Places To Stay." Do not try the "price your vacation" located just above the pictures with 2014 dates because it will currently show rooms unavailable.
    • Once you have selected the Places to Stay tab, click on a Disney resort that peaks your interest.
    • From this screen you will see various room types for the resort you selected, underneath the "average price per a night" you will see "View Seasonal Pricing" in blue.
    • Click on "View Seasonal Pricing" and it will display the rates for the resort and room type you selected through December 31, 2014.  This is also a great way to figure out how to save some Disney dollars based on your check in dates.
This might seem a little wacky to find the room rates this way, but since the rates were just released the system is still updating all of this information. When viewing ticket prices just keep in mind that they do tend to have an annual increase so you may want to take that into consideration,a typical increase is usually a couple of dollars per a day.

I hope this helps get you started with planning your 2014 Walt Disney World vacation, please let me know if I can help with anymore of your questions!

    Happy Planning!
