Hi, Rebeca!
I'm so glad to hear you’re planning a
holiday visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. My own family has spent Thanksgiving Day at the Disneyland Resort twice and we loved every pixie-dusted minute!
By mid-November, both theme parks have lots of holiday-themed decor, attractions, food and entertainment for Guests to enjoy. At Disneyland Park, highlights include Haunted Mansion Holiday, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, and the “Believe...In Holiday Magic” Fireworks Spectacular. After the fireworks, snow falls in the skies above “it’s a small world” Holiday in Fantasyland, over portions of Main Street, U.S.A., and near the Rivers of America as a special seasonal treat! At Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll want to experience Disney Festival of Holidays and the special holiday decor and attractions in Cars Land.
Several restaurants in the theme parks and at the Disneyland Resort Hotels feature special Thanksgiving Day menus, including Napa Rose, Steakhouse 55, Goofy’s Kitchen, Storytellers Cafe, Carnation Cafe, Plaza Inn, French Market, and Cafe Orleans. The crown jewel of Thanksgiving meal offerings is a buffet at the Disneyland Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, which my family and I enjoyed for the first time a few years ago. Along with an elaborate selection of cuisine, including traditional turkey with all the trimmings and a variety of decadent desserts, you’ll find several Disney Characters stationed around the perimeter of the ballroom for photos with Guests! This is a very popular event that sells out annually, and reservations typically open in late September. Be sure to call (714) 781-DINE to book as early as you can.
I hope this helps you plan, Rebeca. Please visit us again with any other planning questions you can dream of!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
