I would like to know if I can use the single rider line and request a rider switch at the same time? Since my child will be too young for most rides, my husband and I will both be single riders and take turns to watch our kid while he is not riding.

    Welcome to planDisney, Vivian!

I’m so happy to see that you’re already planning for your upcoming trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! We are kindred planning spirits. Be sure to bookmark the Disney Parks Blog so you can stay informed on all of the fun updates listed there as you approach your trip.

Utilizing Rider Switch and Single Rider lines is going to be a great way for you and your husband to maximize your time at the theme parks, Vivian! I wanted to get the most accurate information regarding your inquiry, and this is what a helpful Cast Member, Marty, told me: “This alignment should be possible on attractions that have both Rider Switch and Single Rider.” I will add here, though, that not a lot of people are in this situation at the theme parks, so I HIGHLY recommend double checking with the Cast Member that gives you the Rider Switch entitlement if the first rider can use the Single Rider line as each attraction may have its own regulations. (Also please note that not every ride that has Rider Switch also has a Single Rider line, so you won’t be able to ask on all of the rides your switching on.)

Be sure to use the Baby Care Centers at each of the theme parks when needed, Vivian. These are great, air-conditioned locations to help you and your little one relax. If you have additional questions, we hope you’ll visit us again at planDisney!
