I know this is a silly question but when I’m at WDW there is a fragrant tree, plant or shrub that triggers so many wonderful memories. I especially smell this citrusy/green smell when at the resorts, Adventureland near the spring roll cart and … any idea?

Hey there, Sharon, and welcome back to planDisney! What a fun question you've asked! I've enjoyed doing a bit of research about landscaping at Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm happy to share with you some of my findings.

Sharon, I hope you had the very best time during your recent visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. It's always special when we find a scent that reminds us of a particular time and place. My favorite Walt Disney World Resort scent is the one that wafts throughout Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. It's a warm, handsome fragrance with lots of depth, yet at the same time feels clean and fresh. I can imagine it now!

When you're trekking throughout Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park, it can be easy to get tunnel vision on your way to your destination and miss the beauty of this area. I love taking time to sit back and (literally) smell the roses, especially in this part of the park. Adventureland features lush landscaping with a variety of plants that suits its tropical aesthetic. Bright blooms and gorgeous greenery set the tone for this haven for explorers. With hundreds, if not thousands, of plant varieties present, it's tough to say which fragrant flora or fauna found its way to you during your visit. Additionally, the talented landscapers at Walt Disney World Resort are always hard at work updating and reworking the plants to best suit Guests and the season of the year, so many featured plants constantly change. Among the plants you might see are: honeysuckle, hibiscus, Mexican flame vines,  bougainvillea, and many types of ferns.

If you're reminiscing on the scents of your favorite Disney Resorts Collection hotel or even specific attractions, you might be able to find some similar fragrances at Bowes Signature Candles at Disney Springs. Other scent companies to try include: Main Street Melts Candle Company, ScentAir, and Magic Candle Company. I've heard great things about these retailers, so I'm hopeful you'll be able to identify that perfect scent and bring it home with you!

Sharon, if you're feeling inspired by your Disney scents to book another vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth, please let me know if you have any questions about your plans. I'm here and happy to help!

    See you real soon!
