Hi Tom! I just love seeing a fellow Pennsylvanian making their way to the Happiest Place on Earth! I know we East Coasters love how easy it is to pop down to the Walt Disney World Resort and might often call that "home", but I just know you will fall head over heels for the magic and nostalgia built into every corner of the Disneyland Resort. Sometimes, I have to pinch myself just thinking about Walt taking those very same steps!
I love to see that you are getting all your Disneyland ducks in a row ahead of your trip. This makes for a smooth landing for that magic carpet. Once you're at the Disneyland Resort, all that's left is to enjoy the magic! While the
Disneyland Resort Hotels do not offer a shuttle service to and from the airport, many private companies do provide this service, in both directions. Likely, the one you choose to take you from the airport to the Disneyland area would also offer a return service. I would recommend a quick internet search for "John Wayne Airport Shuttles" and you should see quite a few options pop up! While there are quite a few
transportation options, I like to use a ride-share service. With the John Wayne Airport only 15 miles away and depending on how many people are in your party and the time of day that you are landing, this option may be a cost-effective and time-efficient way to get to the parks! We all know how important those Disney minutes are!
If you are a Guest of a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, get ready for some
pixie-dusted perks which are returning on August 8th! Early Entry will once again be available for Guests staying at the
Disneyland Hotel,
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. You will be able to experience select lands and attractions 30 minutes ahead of the day Guests so you can make the most of those magical minutes! And if you love shopping, the next-day delivery service for any in-park purchases will also be returning! This allows you to make a purchase and then pick it up at the Bell Services desk at your hotel the next day so you can keep enjoying your park day without carrying around your special memento. While we do not have a date for this, you will want to keep your ears peeled to the
Disney Parks Blog as Guests of the Disneyland Resort Hotels will soon have access to preferred dining reservations. We are not quite sure what this entails yet, but I'm guessing it may help to secure some of those hard-to-get tables. All this, and you get to stay in the magic? What could be better than that?
