    I know you can set spending limits for charges on a Magicband, but can I also do that if some of my family will be using an Apple Watch instead of a Magicband?

    I see you are planning a summer vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. I’ve got one coming up soon too, and I can’t wait to be cooling off in my Disney Resorts Collection hotel pool, enjoying a refreshing DOLE Whip, and feeling the Florida sunshine on my skin. Best summer ever!

    I think you’re asking about Disney MagicMobile Service, which allows Guests to use their Apple Watches (and other smart devices) in similar ways to MagicBands. Access your room key, theme park tickets, and even Disney PhotoPass through your smart device using this service. I was floored by the demonstration I saw and can’t wait to try out all the features on our upcoming visit.

    At this time, charging to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room folio is not an available Disney MagicMobile feature. It has been announced as “coming soon,” so my advice is to watch the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about the next step in the rollout. The Disney MagicMobile service website will also be updated as more services become available.

    Cashless payment is being encouraged at the Walt Disney World Resort to reduce contact, so Apple Pay is a great option and widely available in the theme parks and resorts.
