When do we know what they are serving at the food and Wine festival. I will be there then and I am Gluten and Lactose intolerant. Will I be able to eat? Also do you pay at each one?

    Hi Christine!

Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is my absolute Epcot favorite. The sights, the smells, the tastes - oh my!

Hosted from August 30 until November 12 this year, we typically don't know the exact line up of seminars, demonstrations or which outdoor kitchens will be appearing until the summer. The 2017 detailed booths and menus were published mid-July. Definitely bookmark or like & follow the Disney Parks Blog across all social media platforms so you won't miss a minute of the breaking food news. And you'll be happy to know that the menus have become more accommodating to a whole host of food allergies. But do still notify each kitchen of any concerns you may have.

2017 saw a record 35 outdoor kitchens representing various countries that aren't permanently available in Epcot's World Showcase, like Australia or Thailand, or those whose dishes feature similar ingredients, like chocolate or almonds. While menus change and new additions are added every year, some wonderful g-free options from last year were sweet and spicy shrimp, layered meat pie, mushroom beef filet, roasted beet salad, spanish paella and more. The menus themselves will notate if an item is free of an allergen, but I also like to search the web for bloggers who visit during the early days of the festival to report back on their findings.

Each dish is about tapas size, and each range in price from about $4 all the way up to $12. You do order and pay for each item at its individual booth. And some items even count as snacks entitlements on Disney's Dining Plans!

We'll See You Real Soon, Christine!
