Hello! I know that selfie sticks are not allowed at the theme parks, but what about at the resorts? Are tripods allowed at both the parks and resorts? Thanks!

    Hello Melanie!

I can see that you are planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I have used a tripod in the Walt Disney World Parks over the years to capture some amazing photos!

The Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules definitely say that selfie sticks or hand held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices are not permitted in any theme parks or water parks. Tripods or monopod stands need to fit inside a standard backpack to be able to be brought into the parks and they can't extend over 6 feet tall (182 cm). So if your tripod meets these two criteria, then you should be able to take it to the Walt Disney World theme parks and your Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope that you are able to capture some amazing photos during your Walt Disney World vacation!
