Hello, I know that selfie sticks that extend are not allowed in the park (Disneyland), but I wanted to know if the Gopro "Handler floating grip" is allowed. This does not extend and is less than 5 inches in height. Thank you!

    Hey Mark!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Capturing the Magic at Disneyland Park in Disney California Adventure Park is one of my favorite things to do. As a photographer, I love taking pictures of my family and capturing their emotions during parades, firework shows or just walking down Main Street, U.S.A. I also love taking pictures of the architecture throughout the parks and especially love when the parks are decorated for the holidays. You’ll be so happy you took videos on your trip as they are so fun to watch later and relive all the fun you had.

It sounds like you've already taken a look at the list of prohibited items at the Disneyland Resort. As you mentioned, any type of selfie stick or extendable grip is not allowed at the Disneyland Resort. I too sometimes take a GoPro into the parks and I find that a handle is super convenient for capturing videos. I have taken my GoPro with a handle into the parks many many times without any issues. The orange floating grip that you're planning to take should be totally fine to take into the parks since it does not extend. Security at any of the entrance points will have final say of what comes into the Disneyland Resort and it will be up to them to allow it on property.

Well Mark, I am glad I was able to answer your question today. Let us know If we can help in any other way.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
