Hi Krysten,
Thanks for making planDisney part of your Walt Disney World Resort planning team. Must-have items for my park bag include sunscreen, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, a portable charger, and Minnie ears. The Minnie ears are most often on my head but I make room for them in my bag when I experience Disney thrills like
Space Mountain and
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.
According to
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, selfie sticks and hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices are not allowed in any theme park. Additionally, tripods must fit inside a standard backpack and may not extend over six feet. As long as your small handheld tripod does not break any of these rules, it should be allowed in the theme parks. To support this point, I noticed an abundance of similar items while walking around EPCOT's World Showcase on the first day of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this year. The social media influencers were out in droves capturing all of the latest offerings to share with their followers.
I hope this information helps you capture some amazing memories on your trip, Krysten.
Disney PhotoPass photographers are also on-hand to capture your magical memories and will even do so with your camera, as desired.
Plan magic; planDisney.
