I know self sticks aren’t allowed but are folding camera tripods allowed at Walt Disney world parks?

    Hi Ramona!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are correct that selfie sticks are not permitted in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. You can find a complete list of restricted items for the Disney World parks here at this link.  Here are two that you will want to pay attention to about bringing camera tripods:

*Tripod stands or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack are restricted.

*Professional photographers with professional cameras or recording equipment, who are visiting Walt Disney World Resort with the intent to take photographs or recordings of people, Walt Disney World Resort properties or icons for professional purposes must make prior arrangements with Walt Disney World Resort Media Relations.

It's not uncommon to see Guests with small tripods in the parks. However, there are also Disney PhotoPass Photographers throughout the parks that can get great shots of your entire party in strategically set-up locations with great backdrops. Be sure to look for them while you're there!

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
