Hiya John!
Welcome to planDisney and Happy New Year! I am so glad you decided to ask us your question today, I myself am a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder and I absolutely love it. Being able to go to the parks whenever I want is so magical and the perks that come with it are highly appreciated. I also see that your next trip is coming very soon, you must be so excited!
As for Annual Passes, the Walt Disney World Resort recently launched a
new Annual Pass program just in time for The World's Most Magical Celebration. The new program offers
four annual passes: the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, the Disney Pirate Pass, the Disney Sorcerer Pass and the Disney Incredi-Pass. While the Disney Pixie Dust Pass and the Disney Pirate Pass are available to Florida Residents only, the Disney Sorcerer Pass is available to Disney Vacation Club Members and the Disney Incredi-Pass is available to all guests. I do need to warn you that Disney is
not selling select Walt Disney World Annual Passes at the moment, but current Passholders can still renew their passes.
As I am not a Florida resident, I personally own the
Disney Incredi-Pass which offers admission to all four theme parks with an advanced reservation and no blockout dates, complimentary standard parking and special offerings on select dining and merchandise. As it is now required to
make a theme park reservation in addition to having valid theme park admission, the Incredi-Pass allows you to make up to five park reservations at a time. However, if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel you will also be able to make theme park reservations for each day of your Resort stay. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, you may also get the
Disney Sorcerer Pass which is subject to blockout dates, but can also make up to five theme park reservations at a time. You may also choose to add Disney PhotoPass Downloads and Water Parks and Sports Option as "add-ons" to your Annual Pass.
Unfortunately, Disney Pirate Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass and Disney Incredi-Pass sales are
currently paused. However, you can still
renew an existing Annual Pass online, at any Walt Disney World ticket window or over the phone with a Cast Member. It is also important to note that Annual Passes can be
renewed up to 30 days after their expiration and up to 60 days prior. Just keep in mind that old Annual Passes will be replaced by one of the new Annual Pass types once renewed.
I hope this was helpful, John, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions! I wish you a magical day and send you all the pixie dust for your upcoming trip!
